Highlights► In this paper, D-S evidence theory is adopted to aggregate the risk evaluation information of multiple experts, which may be inconsistent, imprecise and uncertain. The modified evidence theory is proposed for dealing with different opinions of multiple experts, multiple failure modes and three risk factors in RPN analysis of FEMA of compressor blades of aeroengines. In this method, the simplified discernment frames is provided according to practical engineering application. Meanwhile, the fused three risk factors are regarded as the discrete random variables. Consequently, the RPN is a function of the discrete random variable. The mean value of RPN is used to the risk priority ranking of failure modes. The proposed method is demonstrated by an application of risk priority ranking of failure modes in FEMA of compressor blades of the aeroengine. The different evaluation information of three experts about eight failure modes is aggregated. The mean value of risk priority number is attained. The risk ranking consequence of failure mode is consistent to the practical engineering background. | | | 10. | Experimental assessment of the effects of cross-traffic on Wi-Fi video streaming Original Research Article Measurement, In Press, Accepted Manuscript, Available online 30 June 2011 Leopoldo Angrisani, Konstantinos G.
