Highlights

► To develop a new SAC-OCDMA code (Multi diagonal (MD) code) based on zero cross correlation property. ► To develop a mathematical model for OCDMA based on the proposed code. ► To analysis the proposed code parameters such as code length, code weight, and number of users. ► To investigate the performance of OCDMA system under various system parameters such as the number of users, bit error rate (BER), eye diagrams, and signal to noise ratio (SNR). ► To compare the performance of the proposed code over other SAC-OCDMA codes.

15.Novel non-contact and non-attached technique for detecting sports motion   Original Research Article
Measurement, In Press, Accepted Manuscript, Available online 17 May 2011
Koichi Kurita

Highlights

► We propose a non-contact technique for detecting sports motion by measuring the current generated by a change in the capacitance between a given electrode and the human body. ► Proposed technique involves the detection of the electrostatic induction current, approximately of the order of sub-picoamperes, flowing through the electrode that is placed at a distance of 3 m from a subject. ► We could quantitatively estimate the time for which the athlete’s foot was in contact with and off the ground.

16.Beam propagation factor of radial Gaussian-Schell model beam array in non-Kolmogorov turbulence   Original Research Article

Highlights

► Expression for M2-factor of the radial GSM beam array in non-Kolmogorov turbulence is derived. ► An optimum ring radius, corresponding to a minimum M2-factor, is obtained and explained in detail. ► Optimizing effect of r0 on M2-factor has great dependence on α and . ► Tradeoff between superposition of the intensity and superposition of CSDF should be considered.
